The parking lot on Vermont that you mentioned is proposed to be a mixed-use building with retail on the ground floor and condos in the upper floors. It went through the City&#039;s permit process, including approval of the project from the EHNC back in 2008. We assume though that because of the economic downturn and the current state of the real estate market, the developer of the project has put it on hold for the time being.</description>

		<description>I applaud the scheme of playground and community gardens.
There is also an empty (parking) lot on Vermont that has been unused for at least 15 years, west side between Lexington $ Fountain.
This would make an excellent playground. Maybe just fill the lot with sand for a giant sandbox? It would be an inexpensive solution to a weed-filled property currently going to waste.</description>
